5.11 Rapid PL 2AA Flashlight Review

Hello and welcome to this quick review of the 5.11 RAPID PL 2AA FLASHLIGHT.

This little light puts out nearly 300 lumens out to just over 100 meters for over an hour and a half, using commonly available AA batteries! With a pair of rechargeable 14500 batteries, this light will put out up to 500 lumens!

The Rapid PL 2AA has three modes: high, low, and strobe. Half-pressing the tail cap switch gives us momentary on, and cycles through the modes.

At just under 6 ½” long and weighing just over 4 oz., it’s a great size for every day pocket carry. With its aerospace-grade aluminum construction and IP68 rating, the Rapid PL 2AA is built to support you in an emergency, and will likely stand up to most daily abuse you can dish out.
